ABOUT GINA R. SMITH

LK_edited.png

I am Gina R. Smith a Certified Remote Drone Pilot and an experienced Electrical and Systems Engineer, passionate advocate for technical education and innovation.

My journey began as a teenage unwed mother with a learning disability. I barely graduated from High School. Traditional education didn’t come easy, but my unique way of learning became a strength. The foundational skills I gained through remedial reading and math later became the tools I used to master complex engineering concepts, solve high-stakes technical problems, and build a thriving career in aerospace, defense, and drone operations.

Today, I combine deep expertise in electrical and systems engineering with a mission-driven approach to help individuals and organizations with their drone needs. Whether you're launching a new drone operation or refining a technical workflow, I bring clarity, precision, and strategic insight to every project.

My mission is to help people and companies succeed in meeting their needs.

Giving Back

To honor my father, James W. Smith - one of Heaven's angels - I established the "James W. Smith Memorial Scholarship". This scholarship supports single mothers pursuing technical degrees at Wake Technical Community College, helping them overcome barriers and build brighter futures.
